Allergies in Babies

If one parent or both parents have an allergy to a particular type of food, chances are that the child will have an increased tendency to allergy outbreak. Will the baby be allergic to the outbreak depends on several factors, other than a family preferences, role play and exposure to outdoor allergens.

Stopping smoking in pregnancy
For infants at high risk of outbreak of allergy, breastfeeding is recommended for longer, at least six months and preferably up to a year. If the mother does not breastfeed, it is recommended to use a hypo-allergenic milk (milk HA).
In the case of allergy to cow's milk confirmed the tests, the pediatrician should recommend specially with fully hydrolysed milk protein.
Some recent findings suggest that to protect the infant from the outbreak of allergies. It is important for the pregnancy to stop smoking (partner too!), And a balanced and healthy diet.
In the first year to avoid the introduction of foods with high allergic potential. This group of foods includes fresh cow's milk and products made from fresh cow's milk, eggs, fish, soy and soy products, citrus fruits (use caution when adding orange juice!), Strawberries, celery, nuts (walnuts, almonds, walnuts), chocolate. These foods should be introduced into the diet gradually and only after a year filled. In exceptional cases, and carrots can cause allergies, and then the first porridge, potatoes should be added to the vegetables with a low potential to cause allergies, such as zucchini, squash, kohlrabi, cauliflower or broccoli.
Beware of complementary foods
Between the introduction of each food that has a higher potential to cause allergies, must pass two weeks. With the introduction of milk porridge, porridge is recommended preparation of HA milk and rice or cereal.

Some common symptoms that indicate an allergy are rashes and redness on the skin, often runny nose, frequent and unexplained diarrhea (diarrhea). If these symptoms last longer or occur on contact with certain foods (infants usually cow's milk), it is necessary to consult a doctor and if possible make allergy test. The infants are usually tested for the submission of milk protein and gluten.
Contact dermatitis
In addition to food allergies often lead to contact dermatitis - the redness and flaking of the skin with itching, which can be very uncomfortable for the baby. It is a nervous, itchy, crying, was not satisfied. Child's skin may react this way when dealing with the baths, perfumes, lotions, detergents ...
So delicate baby skin should be treated oil baths and creams indifferent, and if that does not help the market a sufficient number of products for special care.
