Abused child


Depending on the type, duration and intensity of child abuse will exhibit a variety of symptoms. Generally, the abused child, especially if abuse takes longer, grows weaker and less developed, is characteristic of the later development of speech and generally regressive symptoms such as enuresis (uncontrollable wetting) and encopresis (uncontrolled release of stool). He is a frequent and failure in school. 

Physical abuse shows a classic image that usually consists of: bruises of different ages and weights, unusual skin damage (scratches, finger straps, pinching or binding), burns (prints irons or cigarettes), skeletal defects (dislocations, fractures), damage to internal organs .

Psychologically abused child is listless, indifferent to the environment, withdrawn or aggressive. Sexually abused children show different psychological and physical symptoms.

All members of the community, especially the children alone, must be familiar with the problem of child abuse.Children need to know your rights and protection capabilities that they, among other documents, guarantees, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Of course, adults must be familiar with the rights of children because they often violate children's rights.

The child should be protected above all in the family, and in cases where the family can not provide adequate protection, the wider community must take care of the child by providing assistance to the child, but the whole family as possible. Accessible way, without intimidation from early childhood, to strengthen the defenses of a child who could help him in a potentially dangerous situation.
